• Ambient Overload?

    / Comments (1)

Ambient advertising, the use of seemingly everyday mediums like receipts and pizza boxes to promote brands, has risen immensely in popularity in the past few years. Advertisers are scrambling to find newer, more innovative ways to reach their audiences, as the number of messages consumers are bombarded with seem to increase daily.
    These are certainly attention-grabbing:

Decapitated head bowling ball - Agency Jung von Matt for horror-themed TV channel 13th Street, in Germany

This one could be obnoxious - short shorts imprint by Agency DDB Auckland for Superette, in New Zealand

Simultaneously advertise your brand and drive down property values - Agency Brainiacs from Mars for itself, in California

  • Champion a Cause and See Your Work Featured in Airports Across the Country

    / Comments (1)

SecurityPoint Media, Zappos and the American Advertising Federation are hosting a contest that will place one person's or team's creative work in airports across the country. The annual Champion a Cause Creative Challenge aims every year to bring exposure to a deserving but under-promoted cause through SecurityPoint Media's proprietary security checkpoint media network.
This year's cause is Teach for America, an endeavor that recruits top-performing college students to teach after graduation in high-need schools across the country. Formed in 1990, their ultimate goal is to narrow the educational gap between schools in higher- and lower- socio-economic areas.

Entries are due May 1, 2012.
