Cartier Celebrates Their 165-Year History With a Short Film, a Huge Budget

165 years of history come together in just 3 and a half minutes in this short film that's just as lavish and outrageous as you'd expect. Cartier spared no expense. Rumor has it that the film, which follows the jewelry giant's iconic symbol - a panther - on a whirlwind trip through history and around the globe connecting with moments and places from Cartier's history, took 2 years from start to finish.
The panther travels through Russia, China and India before finally landing in Paris, the birthplace of Cartier.
The team that put this together was led by advertising film director Bruno Aveillan and included some 60 on-location crew members, 50 post-production special effects technicians and 3 panthers.
